VICTOR ETUOKWU

Victor Etuokwu is an Executive Director of Access Bank Plc and represents the bank on the board of PayAttitude Global Limited. He has about 20 years banking experience cutting across banking operations and information technology, internal control, general administration, retail banking, business acquisition and integration.

He joined Access Bank in July 2003 from Citibank Nigeria and was promoted to General Manager in February 2008. He has served the Bank in different capacities, leading several successful and critically important projects across the Bank. The latest of such projects was the acquisition of controlling equity interest in Intercontinental Bank Plc and the subsequent merger of both banks.

Mr. Etuokwu holds a Bachelor of Science Degree and Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Ibadan and University of Benin respectively. He is a Senior Honorary member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.

AGADA B. APOCHI

Agada Apochi is an Organizational Psychologist & Change Leadership Specialist and also a Practitioner-Scholar in diffusion of innovation and digital financial services. He has over 30 years of professional experience in banking and financial technology. Agada is the Founder/Director of Payattitude.

Agada is the Managing Director & CEO of Nigeria’s premier financial technology company, UP (Unified Payments), which is a group of companies with services including Banking, Payment Scheme, Financial Technology, Digital Commerce, Value Added Service, Payment Solutions, Software Solutions, etc. He is also the Founder/Director of Hope PSBank as well as the telecom VAS provider, UP Digital Limited. He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of TM30 which is a software company.

Agada attained Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) with specialization in diffusion of innovation and digital financial services as well as Master Degree in Applied Business Research from SBS Swiss Business School in Switzerland, Master Degree (MA) in Organizational Psychology with specialization in Change Leadership from Columbia University in New York, Master Degree in Law (LL.M.) from Rivers State University, Barrister at Law (BL) from the Nigerian Law School and Bachelor Degree in Law (LL.B.) from the University of Jos. He is also is an Alumnus of Lagos Business School and Cornell University. He has attended different executive learning programs including programs at Harvard Business School, Insead Business School and Bank Card Business School in Cambridge. Agada holds several academic honours and awards including best graduating student. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1992 and has since worked and gained experience in company law & practice, banking and financial services, electronic transactions, retail business, administration, strategy, execution and change leadership.

Agada is currently the President of Lagos Business School Alumni Association and a Life Member of the Governing Council of the association. Agada is an Organizational Psychologist, Innovator and Entrepreneur. He is a Fellow, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, Fellow, International Academy of Cards & Payments, Fellow, Institute of Credit Administration, Certified International Cards & Payments Professional (CICPP), Certified Associate of Capability Maturity Model Institute, Chartered Mediator & Conciliator, Barrister & Solicitor. He has to his credit, different professional and technical papers. Agada is married with children.

SAMPSON OBINAYO ANEKE

Sampson Aneke represents United Bank for Africa on the Board of Payattitude Global Ltd. He is currently a Group General Manager (GGM) in United Bank for Africa (UBA) Group in charge of Retail, Transaction & Digital Banking Group. Sampson has held several Executive Functions in UBA some of which are as follows: Directorate Head, South Bank spanning over 17 States of the Federation and housing over 313 Branches. Head SME Banking in 20 UBA present countries, double-hatted as Group Head, Digital Banking and Bank Head (BH), Apapa 2 Region. A highly motivated and experienced professional with strong business development skills and financial knowledge, anchored on extensive hands-on experience in Customer Centrism, deep understanding of banking industry dynamics, strong digital background, excellent negotiation and cost management skills.

Sampson has put up over two decades of Banking experience which spanned across three banks, Ecobank, Access Bank (formerly Diamond Bank) and United Bank for Africa (UBA). He has spent over 15 years in Senior Management Levels.

He holds a B.Sc. degree in Banking and Finance, MBA in Business Administration & Management. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria where he qualified after passing the Institutes examinations with Distinction in Accounting. He is also a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management and an Alumnus of the prestigious Lagos Business School. He has attended various local and foreign courses.

KEVIN UGWUOKE

Kevin Ugwuoke is an Executive Director of Fidelity Bank Plc and represents the Bank on the Board of Directors of PayAttitude Global Ltd. He was appointed Executive Director, Risk Management / Chief Risk Officer in July 2020. He previously served as the General Manager, Chief Risk Officer and he is currently responsible for Credit Risk Management, Credit Strategy & Policy, Risk Measurement, IT Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, and Compliance.

He joined Fidelity Bank in March 2015 as General Manager. Prior to joining Fidelity Bank, he served a number of managerial roles across major financial institutions such as United Bank for Africa, Access Bank and Citi Bank.

Kevin attended University of Nigeria, Nsukka, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management from Edinburgh Business School of Heriot Watt University. He is a Senior Honorary Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.

Chuma Ezirim

Chuma Ezirim, is a Group Executive, E-Business and Retail Products at First Bank. His division develops and manages all Digital and Retail Products in the Commercial Bank Group.

He is a Certified International Cards & Payments Professional (CICPP) and a Fellow of the International Academy of Cards & Payments. An Industrial Chemist by training, he has about 30 years of professional banking experience. He holds a B.Sc Degree in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and an M.Sc degree in the same field from the University of Ibadan. He was the best Graduating Student in Industrial Chemistry in his first degree. He also has an MBA from the University of Nigeria and he’s an alumnus of Wharton School, Kellogg School of Management and Lagos Business School. He has attended several advanced Leadership and Strategy courses.

Chuma has had over 25years career in the electronic banking business across 4 banks in the industry, where he set up the Business in 3 of the Banks. He played a major role in driving the adoption of debit card usage in Nigeria by deploying and managing the most efficient and profitable ATM network, which at that time accounted for over 25% interbank transactions in the market.

He has implemented over 18 Digital Payment Platforms across 7 markets in Africa, which are self-accounting and managed as revenue centres. In Nigeria, about 7 of these platforms are market leaders in the volume of transactions processed and net revenue.

In the last 13 years, he has led the crafting and execution of a highly successful Digital/Retail banking business strategy for FirstBank, that has won the bank over 75 International and Local Awards. During this period, amongst many other feats, the bank grew the number of retails accounts from about 4.2m to over 41m, drove electronic channels adoption from less than 20% to over 90%, enrolled the highest number of Digital Banking Customers in the industry, was the first bank in Nigeria and second in Africa to issue more than 10 million debit cards, grew the Retail asset products portfolio by over 250% in the last 5 years with about 85% of the loans disbursed digitally from less than 2%, deployed the most expansive Bank-led Agent Banking Network and Bank/Telco Agnostic Wallet Platform in Africa and leads the industry in Digital Business net revenue performance. As at 2021, EFG Hermes, conservatively valued the Digital business of the bank at over US$1.1B, the highest in Africa.

In 2012, Chuma led the Payment Systems Transformation Work-stream of Payments Systems and Infrastructure Sub- Committee of the Bankers' Committee of Central Bank of Nigeria that formulated some of the current electronic payment policies in the market. He also chaired the Industry Association of Heads of e-Business from 2009-2012.

He has worked with and provided strategic counsel to people at different levels in the Electronic Payment Industry from subject matter experts to CEOs and Board members of leading Financial Services Organizations across Africa.

Chuma is a member of MasterCard Africa Leadership Council and sits on the boards of First Bank Democratic Republic of Congo, Unified Payment Services Ltd and Payattitude Global Ltd.

He is married and has two children.
